Since 2006, Elke Cases Berbel has been teaching at universities, first at the Universidad Europea de Madrid and later at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, as well as in a master's degree at the URJC. She has also been a member of different research projects and is currently part of the INMIGRA3-CM research project: The migrant population in the Community of Madrid: linguistic, communication, cultural and social factors in the integration process and intervention resources (H2019/hum-5772), as well as of the UCM Research Group 930235 Phraseology and Paremiology (PAREFRAS) and secretary of the scientific journal. Her research career, with national and international projection, can be seen in her participation in scientific meetings (congresses, seminars and work teams) and the publication of articles in indexed scientific journals.
Arbeitsschwerpunkte
Her activities fall into several complementary lines of research: translatology, linguistics (phraseology, paremiology), second language teaching, and the application of ICT to language teaching and translation.

Qualifikation
Elke Cases Berbel is a university lecturer (in Translation and Interpreting) and sworn translator-interpreter for Spanish-German (No. 4155 by the MAEUC). She holds a PhD in applied linguistics by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, a degree in Translation and Interpretation by the CES Felipe II and a degree in Business and Tourism Activities by the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos.
