This is an advanced English conversation course.

The classes aim to open interesting intellctual discussions to allow the participants to practise expressing their thoughts in English. The subjects will be based around a variety of media. There will be some language and grammar correction and a small element of teaching to introduce nuances of English language use.

Target group

Employees of Freie Universität Berlin and external participants

Requirements

knowledge of English to at least B2/C1 level
stable internet connection, headset, camera

Contents

discussions based on actuality or intellectual questions in order to deepen the speaking routine
practical training for forming and expressing thoughts and opinions in English on an expert level
introduction of nuances of the English language
if needed, little input sessions to help developing grammar, vocabulary, reading & listening skills

Learning objectives

The course will help you...

acquire English language skills at a business fluent level (C1),
know and recognize the subtleties of pronunciation and meaning in English,
have a well-developed language routine or have reactivated it,
communicate in English with confidence and style.

Methods

This course is a conversation course and is based exclusively on communicative teaching and learning methods.
